Make This Season a Blessing, Help a Child in Need

Charity is the first principle of the Knights of Columbus and throughout its 125 year history the Order has worked to help those who are suffering and in need. Last year, Knights of Columbus donated more than $143 million and 68 million hours of volunteer time to charity.

As part of its charitable initiatives, the Knights of Columbus introduced a “Help a Child in Need” Christmas campaign in 2006. Following on that successful effort, the Order worked with several individuals involved in the production of the hit movie Bella to create a television message to promote its 2007 campaign.

Lead actor Eduardo Verástegui, producer Leo Severino (both Knights of Columbus) and Writer/director Alejandro Monteverde contributed to the making of the 60-second TV ad, which is being broadcast on the major networks in the run-up to Christmas.
